4/5 CONSUMERS MORE INCLINED TO PURCHASE A BRAND AFTER SOCIAL MEDIA EXPOSURE

4/5 CONSUMERS MORE INCLINED TO PURCHASE A BRAND AFTER SOCIAL MEDIA EXPOSURE

Social Media Exposure Explained

Recent Research from an IAB study has found that consumers who have been exposed to certain brands on social media would be more inclined to make a purchase. From my own experience I feel that this statistic is accurate because a positive presence on social media can really help to gain the trust of your customer. The consumer might not buy straight away after liking your page but after a few posts, more social media exposure and increased trustworthiness the consumer will associate a positive image with your brand and can purchase your product.
This study proves the power that a good presence on social media can have on your sales. Most people will only believe this statistic is so high because of the big brand they used however if it worked for the big brand there is no reason why it should not work for your business.
Here are the top ways to maximize social media exposure:

Don’t Be Selfish

One thing I always see on social media platforms is Self Promotion Posts from businesses letting their fans know what they sell. Their objective is to Sell, Sell, Sell and this is the wrong attitude to have on social media. Everyone loves a bargain but the reason a person followed or liked your page is because you put up an interesting piece of content. Social media exposure is about content and not about advertising yourself!
TIP: Limit yourself to one self-promotion post or tweet a day as even 1 can be too much depending on your industry.

Post Engaging Content for Optimal Social Media Exposure

If the content is funny or looks like something people will love then don’t be afraid to post it. Make sure you add pictures and videos in your post as people have moved away from just reading text they want to see a picture or a vine video. The more engagement you get on social media the more you will enjoy taking the time to find good content to post.
TIP: Post 3-4 Times per day

Be Snappy

If you get a comment, tweet or private message don’t put it on the back burner and say you will do it later, DO IT NOW. By responding in a timely fashion you will build a better relationship with the customer and others will find out which will increase the engagement on your page. The quicker you respond the more exposure your brand will get.
TIP: Engagement is the Key to exposure on Social Media Platforms.

The Flywheel Effect

With Social Media it’s all about the future and creating positive brand awareness so that a consumer will be exposed to your brand through social media. The Statistics then say that 4/5 people will then make a purchase when they see your brand again.
Some people think that a person liking your post is not a big deal however those person’s friends will see that they liked your content. If another one of them likes the post then you have doubled your reach with one post. Social media exposure at its finest! Sometimes Social Media can be hard to judge if it’s working or not but by increasing your brand exposure then over time customers will start to buy your product.
With 4/5 customers more likely to buy after social media exposure in 2014 will 100% of customers rely on social media to purchase in 2015?
