9 Best Vegetables for Your Summer Garden

Spring is the perfect time to begin your summer vegetable garden. But with so many different seeds and plants available, how do you know which are best for planting? Thankfully, there are many different types of veggies that are pleasing to nearly every taste palate. 1. Snap peas These crisp, sweet vegetables are relatively easy to grow in many different climates. Plant pea seeds in rows a couple of inches apart during the cool, spring weather when the ground temperatures are roughly 46 degrees Fahrenheit or warmer. (For the most accurate determinations of ground temperature, purchase a digital soil thermometer.) Keep soil damp, but not soaking wet. Be sure to add a bit of wire fencing or a small garden trellis near your snap-pea patch. As the pea plants grow, they like to twist and climb around nearby objects, much like vine plants.
